The institute provides fieldwork equipment to conduct projects around the globe. Key equipment and capabilities for fieldwork include:

- 3D scanning equipment for analytical data collection (Artec space spider, Nextengine)
- one robotic and three manual Leica Total Stations
- one set of EMLID GNSS and five Garmin GPS devices for precise on-site digital surveys, allowing us to gather high-precision spatial data for sites, features, contexts
- DSLR cameras and multiple accessories
- action and infrared cameras for time laps videos and documentation
- DJI Drones Mavik 2 and Mini 2
- small USB-Microscopes ideal for quick analysis in the field (Dinolites)
- rugged field tablets and PCs, hard drives and power banks made for rough environments
- Coring equipment for lake cores or dryland sediment cores (Russian corer, Livingstone corer, drop-hammer, etc.)
